About the Festival
The Greater Greensboro Theater Consortium committee will collaboratively produce the festival at a central venue in April 2024. A kickoff event will take place on April 6th from 1pm-5pm followed by 2 nights of performances on April 26th-27th will comprise this year’s Amplify festival. The cast, directors and crews working with each playwright on their piece will be blended from the seven departments and community members. After each performance, the cast, playwrights and professional guest dramaturg respondents will return to the stage for talkback sessions to reflect on the significance of black lives and stories and racial inequity.
